If you dont hire Jason- your missing out on not only a very talented man with skills but an over all lovable man who really just knows how to take care of a party and make sure everyone has a good time!! From the minute we shook hands, I knew he was the right guy. trust me- he knows his stuff and made me feel calm because I knew he was going to take care of it all.  On such a short notice I gave Jason a 450 people reception and a very intense list of things to be done including trying to combine a very prideful side of east coast meets west coast reception! he created such a fun energetic atmoshphere, could not have been more happier, this mans great!! Id have another reception just for him hehehe…

Jason was our wedding DJ and he was perfect! He played all our songs, took requests from our guests and had us dancing away! We were referred to him by our wedding guru, Duncan Reyes, who told us he had a great DJ for us to meet and he was absolutely right! I have hired many DJs over my career as an event planner and restaurant owner. DJ Jason is among the best I have seen. He understands the crowd, is extremely responsible, gets to the place early, set up his cool stuff, and then plays to the crowd. He also listens to the organizer and does not simply play what he wants. One time, we had latino party and Jason made the party. I now hire Jaosn for all our venues, as a great party is guaranteed if Jason plays his music.

I hired DJ Jason for my daughter’s Bat Mitzvah.  I couldn’t have asked for a better evening.  He worked with us prior to the event to plan out certain “games” we would play to keep the kids attention and had some great ideas that we quickly adopted.  He also worked with Leyla to get a list of the songs she wanted to hear and he came up with additional based on what she liked.  The evening went soooo smooth.  Jason handled it very well.  The kids were entertained and danced from 8:30 until 11pm!  DJing for the “13″ age group is much different from DJing a wedding and Jason proved that he is a perfect choice for this type of event!

I was dj captain for my upcoming wedding in Santa Rosa. I cast a pretty wide net in the bay area and gave him a call. He seemed to fit the bill – willing to play top 40 hits, nothing on the do-not-play list, keeping people happy on the dance floor, and nothing super hokey. I showed the website to my fiance, and one of the things we liked the most about him was the availability of video of him in action, particularly the ones where you could hear the music actually being played at weddings. A couple of days later he came down to San Francisco to meet with us in person. Compared to the other djs I talked to, including the larger corporate dj “collectives,” he was by far the most responsive and accessible. He’s also priced competitively. Both my fiance and I are super excited to work with him! We’ll report later to let you know how it went.

“Your wedding was totally fun. Everybody danced!” were the words from most, if not all, of my friends and family.  We owe much of the credit to our fantastic DJ, Jason Mitchell.  Our main concern was to keep our guests dancing throughout the night until our taco truck showed up at the end of the reception.  Our wedding was on 7/8/2011.

I’m really into music and I wanted someone who can keep the celebration vibe flowing but also adhere to the timeline.  Jason delivered just that, professionally and nicely.  Jason definitely was personable from the beginning; not at all pushy or arrogant like some other DJs we interviewed.  He listened to our wants, needs, and ideas with enthusiasm and really worked with our budget.  Another important feature Jason offers is the mood lighting; it’s a total must-have when you put on a big party with great music.  He also worked really well with our other vendors.

We highly recommend DJ Jason; he’ll keep things poppin’ and off-the-hook!

I found Jason online while looking for a DJ for my wedding this past June to my now husband (also named Jason hahaha). Along with my wedding coordinator (named Jacin – I’m surrounded) – I can’t say enough WONDERFUL things about him!!! I would highly recommend him to anyone – he was a wonderful emcee and I feel so lucky to have had him for our wedding.

He was truly an integral and amazing part of the day – and in the end really helped to make the day just that much more special. He was VERY professional – he met with us and spoke to us many times over the phone to ensure that he knew our vision for the day. The day of our wedding we changed our song selections for entering the reception room and he was very flexible and understanding with us even with the last minute changes. He was early, was set up and ready to go and spoke to our wedding coordinator and had everything ready with her! He even ran through the entrance dance with my girlfriend who was a bridesmaid so he would know exactly what the transitions would be. It was FANTASTIC!!!  The music he played was AWESOME – we had a group of many different ages and he was able to play songs that had everyone dancing!!!

DJ Jason was GREAT!  He volunteered his whole Saturday to DJ a non-profit event we were having.  There were about 300+ people, and he did an amazing job with everything.

I sat down with him before the event and he is so easy to work with- we went through the entire script we had planned out, and discussed when we wanted the music loud throughout our program, and when we needed it to be quiet for the presentation.  Also, he had great suggestions and took a very active part to get the program moving in the beginning.  Not only is he a great DJ; he is a great speaker and got our crowd motivated!  He was totally willing to make any and all announcements if we wanted him to, and I felt very comfortable that we was going to pump the crowd up, as well as be professional throughout the day.  We also did a fashion show portion which was AMAZING!  He was on top of his game.

I had friends in the audience who said what an amazing difference the music made.  We are indebted to Jason, because without his talent our event would not have been such a success!

I met Jason at a Bridal Faire and took his card for the future.  I could always use a dj, and a good one at that.  So I was throwing a party for my girlfriend this past friday, and it was a BBQ, pool bachelorette party.  He was awesome!  He was right on time, actually he was early which was great love a vendor that is punctual! Also, his setup in my backyard was awesome!  I got so many compliments on his music, and his djing.  With the lights he brought to put over my pool, and the super slim speakers that didn’t take up a lot of space, I have to say I was very impressed!

My girlfriends loved the music, and the atmosphere Jason created for us!  I even had several friends ask for his contact iinformation for their future possibilities.  You know they’re good when your friends are drunk and still wanting to get their info so they can hire them at some future event.  Overall, I have never met a more professional and fun to have dj my party!  Well worth it Jason!  Thank you again!

I highly recommend Jason for any event. He was my DJ for my wedding and he was so extremely easy to work with. We had a traditional Hindu ceremony and a “mixed” reception and he utilized the music we gave him perfectly. He truly paid attention to my specific song requests and was amazing playing the music for a “secret dance” my sister & I performed. Of course as most brides, I had a million last-minute questions (literally- 3am in the morning!) and he was always quick to respond to any concerns and requests. Having transplanted down to LA, I had no idea who to turn to for DJing an event I was planning in the Bay Area (where I’m from originally).

So, I contacted several reputable DJ’s (per Yelp) in the San Francisco area. Some were okay, but sounded out of touch with current music. A couple were VERY flakey, not even bothering to return a call or call back when they said they would. Some were super ARROGANT (like so many other reviews on DJ’s on here) and talked to me like I was being hired by them (WHAT?!). To round it out, some were just not very helpful in their planning or communication skills — something I very much needed and didn’t have time to waste.

Jason was the opposite of all those negative qualities. He was very professional, personable and great at planning a fun night with a bunch of old friends getting back together. His music library was excellent too. When I asked him for some obscure stuff, he knew exactly what I was talking about and I could tell if he hadn’t, he’d go look into it for me and get me what I needed.

I would highly recommend he and his company to any of my friends (already have) and to you reading this as well.

DJ Jason DJ’ed our wedding out in Walnut Creek, CA on 9/5.  Prior to to the wedding, Jason was really easy to get a hold of for questions and worries (via phone, texting, and email).  Oh, please keep in mind we live in New York, and were organizing the wedding long distance.  Jason was super accomodating, affordable, professional, and comfortable to work with.  A few notes:

Timing:


Jason had the timings down for some really specific requests.  We wanted a particular part of a particular song played for our entry, and he did it as I had imagined, and then repeated just the right parts.  We also asked him to abruptly change from a slow dance to hiphop, and he transitioned it really well.

Sound Quality:


Jason set up two of his vertical speakers, which seemed plenty loud enough for the whole room to hear us…but some people in the back said they had some trouble hearing the MC (300 people capacity in square room, 268 in attendance).  During the dancing, the music was plenty loud enough.

Music Selections:

We had a Hawaiian accented wedding, and during dinner, asked for some rather specific/obscure Hawaiian music, he accommodated and provided. Same for our first song, it was definitely not a pop song.  He certainly had the latest dance music that we were looking for as well.

Working with Jason:

Seriously, zero problems.  I bombarded the poor guy with a billion emails, and he handled all of our requests.

I’d definitely recommend Jason for any events.

We recently hired Jason at Music Solutions for our wedding this past June. He was by far one of the our Best Vendors that we had at our wedding. Jason was very attentive and thorough with the DJ planning aspect. Like for instance there was a specific trumpet music that we were looking for. When we called Jason to notify him of the music or sound that we were looking for, he was quick to jump right on it to try a find what we had in mind. Also whenever we tried to contact him about any questions or concerns we had and was unable to reach him, he returned are calls asap (within the hour). Jason was willing to travel for us on two separate occasions. One was to meet with us to see the venue where we were getting married and at that time we were able to discuss the set up and contract. The second time was on the day of the wedding. During the wedding Jason was able to pronounce everyone first and last name correctly as well as having the ability to read the crowd and tailor the music accordingly. We Researched many different DJ companies and found that Music Solutions prices were very reasonable for what they had to offer. His equipment was top of the line. I recently saw Jason, the owner of Music Solutions, DJ an event at Club Auto Sport in San Jose. There were around 500 people there and he had them dancing from start to finish. He played to the crowd, primarily contemporary hip hop, new stuff, and some hyphy hits.
Jason did an outstanding job: he let his tunes get everyone dancing. He plugged into the Club’s massive sound system, but brought his own monitors. He looked very comfortable on stage and everyone was very happy. I liked how he had all the new music you hear on the radio stations. His mixing was great, and all his transitions were smooth and dance friendly.
I spoke with Jason after the event. He was very friendly, and answered all my questions about how to become a DJ. He works incredibly hard at what he does, and it shows in his performances. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire Jason for my private event.
